today was frigging hot. if the thermometer by the wooden gate at "tornado" is anything to go by, it reached 44 deg c today. damn. i was basically raining from head to toe all day long. or rather soaking in my own dripping sweat. the last time i experienced this has been years ago, prob during those guiding days. my legs and hands were shiny from the sweat and sticky from the sunblock and grime. i think my sunblock's really good, it's totally saving my life. at least it's saving me from getting burnt, if not from the heat and sweat. and i bot a new spf70 one, same series from neutrogena. it never gets so hot in SG, like the moment u step into the sun u just feel the heat. it was so bad my supervisor had nosebleed, and it was only 12+pm. the day had barely started. and i think she was very tired, so she went home halfway. all ard i see burnt red bodies, ppl spraying sunblock on, ooh-ing and ahh-ing when they get into air-conditioned restrooms and i really wonder why they like to torture themselves so much. for goodness sake, if the sun's so unbearable, why not just stay at home or at least indoors? why spend money to get into a park and complain abt the heat and haf to apply layers of sunblock and still get burnt? then there are ppl fainting, dehydrating etc. i don't c them cos it doesn't happen in the toilets but today i heard the health advisory like at least thrice. telling ppl to seek shelter in air-conditioned restrooms or restaurants, take cold showers and eat and drink water to prevent heat illnesses. i can almost memorise it haha. and i still don't understand why americans like to roast their babies and kiddos. poor lil things with red cheeks!!

and today a guest pissed me off. it didn't spoil my day entirely cos after tt i met a few pleasant guests with questions which i managed to satisfy and i'm proud of myself cos i could tell they really appreciated my help :) the guest who pissed me off said i shd leave the door to the waterworks restroom open cos it was so hot inside. but the point is the restroom was supposed to be air-conditioned and supervisor Les said guests will try to prop the door open but i was to un-prop it and tt's wat i tried to do, and i alr explained to a few ppl tt i had to close the door to prevent the aircon from escaping but this particular woman really got on my nerves and i was irritated. anw i explained to her but she tried to argue with me saying tt closing the door was still hot and i just said tt's cos the door was left open for too long. and there was sth wrong with her eyes cos they looked like they cldn't focus, and i suspect she was blind. haha. but cannot be la. ok enough abt her. and earlier in the morn there was another angry guest who cldnt get a locker cos the rental shops weren't open yet and she came to me but i was helpless (it wasn't my prob anyway) and lucky Matt was nearby so i just referred her to him. "i suppose u can check with that supervisor over there in white." pro rite, the way i shift responsibility?? hahahahah. so after tt i quickly siam to where i was going b4 she stopped me.

i just hate being hot and wet and sticky and itchy all day :( itchy cos of those monstrous red bites on my legs and arms. 1 of the bites on my leg was huge and had a water bubble in the middle, and somehow it burst just now, hope the open wound will heal soon :( oh no the pus is still flowing and there's a trail of dried up pus on the bottom of the swell lol.

Some pics of Williamsburg, as promised :) lazy to post captions tho. it's almost 2am!
