there was a sudden storm in KD today. announcement said the national weather service (again -______-) said there'll be a storm with lightning and thunder or sth to tt effect. then the wind blew very strongly and all the leaves and trash on the ground started stirring. everyone started walking quickly out of the water park, and i quickly cleaned up waterworks before heading back to shockwave to get my poncho. after that i went back to bathhouse cos i was supposed to be there that hour, and i hid there till the storm ended. haha. kids actually laid their towels on the floor between the lockers to lie down. so there was lightning and rain, and ppl hid between the lockers or in the merchandise shop. few were in the bathhouse, so basically i was just standing near the entrance looking at the rain :) then there was this girl who asked me whether i actually liked my job when i went in to squeegy the floor, and i said "not really, but it'll do." haha, doncha think my reply rocks? and there was this guy i saw at the lockers who really made me laugh, cos he draped a tiger-stripe-print towel over his head and shoulders and rolled up his jeans and walked ard in the rain, looking silly and retarded and middle east-ish. lol. the storm died down quite fast, was only 30-60 mins. then the waterpark closed.

sunset here is always beautiful, sometimes i can see the full moon even before the sun has set. the sky and clouds have splashes of red, and often the view is only obstructed by trees, not buildings and highways like in SG.

am tired. i finally experienced "inclement weather" here, and during the course of duty too. the last time it rained tt hard was when we were still living in Best Western. the weather's more unpredicatable (and exciting) than SG, and the wind's stronger too. after the rain i saw mist/smoke/those white stuff emitted from the ground and it was nice walking through it, like a blanket of dry ice in those plays.
