all of a sudden i miss home. for the first time since reaching (other than when i fell sick), i'm missing home. home, not the food. things not been going pretty well lately, all sorts of minor things tt just disappoint, sadden and make me re-think and re-define. not to worry, everything will turn out fine, i believe i can sort it out. be it work or friends, the only thing tt can't be changed for the better is the weather. ha.

i felt like a grime monster today. sweat + dirt + sunblock = grime. i hate putting on sunblock on wet (sweaty) skin cos it doesn't get absorbed and it's pretty gross. anyway grime monster almost fainted in the heat today, was damn tired in the afternoon. i just wanted to sit down and have a shut-eye. which i did, for ard 10 minutes in a cubicle haha. but lucky things got better as the day wore on. i think it was ard 40 or 40+ deg c again today, and grime monster was raining from head to toe. this time sweat actually dripped from my face and hair. haha. it just gets wetter everyday, i've no idea why. today we were short-handed so i had to handle both the waterworks restroom and bathhouse all by myself for the whole day, and there wasn't actually a supervisor physically present. but it was hot everywhere including waterworks which was supposed to be air-conditioned, and the storage room tho shaded was stuffy and hot. oh wells. am hoping to transfer to another area, so later i've to brainstorm on reasons for my change. Hu Meng and Dan Ni alr handed in their forms, cos they were lucky to have been sent to area 1 today, with my fave supervisor Tracy. damn. i miss area 1. but i think it's quite impossible they let all 3 of us transfer there, esp since area 4 (the waterpark) is so short-handed, and girls are a rarity. i was the only girl there all day. and on weekdays there's supposed to be only be and Dan Ni at area 4. but the weather is so terrible and the restrooms are not cooling and the job's the toughest here, so we all wanna switch. most restrooms in other areas are much cooler, in the sense that the aircon's actually working, and pretty strong. so while i'm sweating buckets in area 4, others are enjoying the aircon and having to walk much less in the sun in other areas. and the environment's diff too. it's the ppl i guess. the disparity is so great it just doesn't make sense when everyone's paid the same. the least they cld do is rotate everyone among the diff areas. which all boils down to the same old point, that A-cans are just plain stupid. oh wells. and i still can't figure why they can't flush the toilet and why they can't walk 10 steps to dump their used paper towels in the trashcan. which is pretty big and visible to me. and why they love to shower in the changing area of the shower cubicle, which results in water flooding the entire restroom floor. and why they can't turn off the shower. and why they have to wring their hair and clothes on dry floor instead of drain holes or sinks. and why they complain that the toilet's wet and disgusting once they step in but never wondered why it wld be so. it never occurred to them that they were the ones using the toilet and dirtying it so bad, and that they can't expect ecology employees to clean up after them every minute of the day. hello, right after i squeegy for an hour, the water flows back up and floods the whole place again. tell me what i can do. it's not like i can improve the drainage system either, much as i'd like to. and when the fans stupidly can't be turned on or off, it's not my fault either. and i don't get why they just love leaving their stuff ard. water shoes, slippers, underwear, swimwear, food, shorts, tops, combs, soap, lip gloss, u name it. it's all found in the bathhouse. and the freaking heavy bath mats that have to be dragged out when closing the restroom. the restroom's big, there's so much trash, items left behind, sanitary bins and mats. see i told u there's the most work to be done in the waterpark restrooms. oh wells. i'm just ranting, prob cos i had a rough day. but i'm pretty optimistic, altho certain things piss me off or irritate me now and then. but i daresay USA is not the place i wanna live in.

oh and out of the ordinary happened today. a security personnel and supervisor Mandy came by the bathhouse when we were closing. said some guest lost alot of money and they had to search all the ecology employees. so i had to empty all my pockets -________- then there was this card i picked from the floor and kept cos i wanted the cable for my keys. was scared tt wld get me in trouble, so i quickly said i was gg to bring it to lost and found. ya right. lucky tt was their focus so i got away. and the card's still w me haha. it's some "travel services inc" card.

am going to look for an area supervisor tmr morning. hope i can really do an internal transfer. and Mandy told me to put toothpaste on my bites. yue hao said they look like pepperoni. which is pretty true, just tt they're slightly smaller and less round. yucks.
