burnt

All these pics were taken with my 2 megapixel phone :) it still does me proud! esp during squirrel-spotting, when i don't have my camera ard.

The dominator, from afar.

Vending machine with "cedar fair" and roller coaster designs.

These are all the same squirrel, taken while waiting for Kyle who never showed up till much later. And this is not the fattest squirrel around. It just enjoys doing stunts (see below), maybe cos it knew we were bored.

Why does the drain cover say "Telephone"?

This is the extremely long slide we're working on. Look at those sides and imagine me trying to polish them. yikes.

Views from atop that slide. We're above the trees! (L-R):some roller coaster, the eiffel tower, and the drop tower. (it'd take alot of guts to try the drop tower)

pipeline...(we polished those slides too. i mean the uncovered horizontal parts on the ground. can't be seen from here)

Volcano i think.

one day i feel like i'll get frostbite and the next i get sunburnt. is virginia supposed to be like that?! yesterday was damn cold. when i went out for lunch my ears felt weird and my nose was numb. today was bad. we spent the first hour waiting and looking for our supervisor who never turned up. so we had to call, walk, look for ppl, wait and wait. and it was made worse when the road leading to park ops was undergoing resurfacing so we had to walk 1 big round around the park just to get outside. damn. i'm gonna make noise when i see duane. how cld he pangseh us! so anyway we ended up at the waterpark - polishing the water slides. and it just had to be freaking sunny and hot. i rolled down my long sleeves when i could stand it but i still got burnt. and i think my eyes are gonna die too. cos we had to wax this white slide, and u know how white stuff reflects in the sun. so i couldn't even see where the wax was, and i had to wipe it down. i was really going dizzy man. the occasional breeze saved me from heatstroke. my fingers feel dry now cos we were using car polish to wax the slides, then had to use dry cloth to wipe it off...and there were so many slides! am currently at the highest one now (i forgot the name), there are thousands of stairs to climb up to reach the top, and we gotta wax the slide that leads all the way down. i felt like spiderman, clinging to the sides and trying to wax the sides of the slides, which were curved and vertical and high, while trying to keep my balance and not slide down myself. and cos it was dry and hot, my feet have friction burns now. :( and we're gonna have to continue that for 2 more days. i think tmr and thursday will be hell. am gonna slap on layers of sunblock and aloe vera after that. thank goodness i had my cap. but i think my neck's still burnt :(

to make things worse, i had 偏头痛 the whole of last night and tonight too. we finally got to go to walmart, and there was a long walk to and fro the bus pickup point, and i think it was too cold and aggravated my headache. am feeling better now, after a life-saving panadol. today till thurs we have to pack lunch to the park cos the staff canteen will be closed since the park is not open, and it was sad having to eat a cold burger. shall survive on my apple and muffin tmr. i bot my Keebler choc lovers choc chip cookies today! and it only cost like $1.98. in SG it costs like $7? hahaha. and i finally found the post peach cereal! (SG only has strawberry) and it only costs $2.68. and those cake and brownie mixes only cost $1+ per box. shall buy some home man. am tired, shall go slp soon to recuperate for tmr's day of hard labour again. sunblock sunblock sunblock!

See these cute bears? They were in the $1 shop. But it's actually $1.05 each cos of tax.

My happiest buy of the day. A lil brown bear with many defects but it was just the one i had to get. Don't u think it's cute? It's meant for notty but maybe we'll just share :)

Look at the difference in colour. It's not that clear here but u can imagine me like a crab or lobster. as usual.
