Was caught in a mini hurricane today, with a huge bag of pocky and tissue papers in hand, and a bag of toilet papers in the other. It was bad! My ear muffs almost got blown off and I couldn't walk straight. Mucus flew out and my face was hurting from the cold wind. Haha. Jo and I were literally flying without wings. This is 29mph wind! 4-5 极 by China standards. Which is pretty high. Yesterday was 3-4 极 and I was feeling cold. I think just now it was about -10 deg but the wind chill factor made it around -20 deg. Yikes. Not fun at all with your hands full and with ear muffs on. But at least they prevented my ears from hurting :D
Anyway despite much anticipation I didn't get to do my x-ray today. Kinda disappointing, cos I was looking forward to analysing my own x-ray especially since we had our x-ray exam today. But I suppose this should be a cause for joy instead, that my foot problem ain't serious! But it'll probably take at least 2 weeks to recover, according to the doctor. Meanwhile I'll have to diligently paste the medicated plaster every day, soak my feet in hot water and wear an ankle guard when I walk. Hopefully I can regain my usual walking speed without pain soon!
I sound like I'm in holiday mood (which I actually am) - ponned ultrasound class to come home with the intent of resting but ended up watching 2-3 episodes of the condor heroes on tv then napping and washing clothes. I'm so dead for Friday's exam. But my head feels heavy and I simply can't bring myself to open the stupid textbook again cos the content is simply so overwhelming, it's impossible! 2 days to read, comprehend and memorise everything. Can I just drop ECG? Seriously need a break. This sem's been too draggy. But 13 more days and I'll be back to the sunny island, where (in my friend's words:) "food will appear by itself, clothes will wash by themselves and bills will pay by themselves"! But that means having to adjust to a difference in temp of 40 degrees. Assuming an average temp (not counting wind) here of -10 deg, and 30 deg in Singapore, that's 40 deg difference! I hope I don't fall sick again. I think my pores will face a serious identity crisis.
