It snowed today. My first snow encounter! And my first real snowball fight and snowman :)))))))) Super exciting. The feeling was indescribable. I was like a small kid opening my eyes to the world for the first time and grinning with fascination. When my mom poked me at 8+am to tell me it was snowing, I couldn't go back to sleep after that. I think I stared at it for half an hour through the windows before everyone else awoke. Haha. Everything you've seen in postcards and movies came to live. Seeing (and touching) is believing. Nothing beats the real experience! 1st November. A day to remember. For Beijing which doesn't snow much by record, this year's snow came early and heavy. I guess this signals that autumn has given way to winter. But the leaves haven't turned red yet!!!!! Most of them are still yellow or green. But it was like a winter wonderland, with all the leaves and boughs laden with white snow, the grass, roofs and cars covered inches deep, branches collapsing from the weight of the snow...at night I trudged through ankle-deep ice water (I thought it was just wet asphalt) and had water leaking into my boots -.- It was frigging cold, -3 deg with wind, and this is just the beginning. Welcome to the beijing!
I still can't believe it actually snowed. There's some truth in weather forecasts afterall ;)

hah today's newspaper said the snow was cuz the chinese govt was seeding it artificially cuz of droughts. thats why it came early. anyway glad you had fun! stay warm! :)

heyo! glad u like it :) u won't believe how i've turned into a stationery fan (like Hazel) since coming to China and seeing notebooks 10x less the prics in SG. ok not maybe not 10x, but u get what i mean :D so many pretty things! have a good mind to buy an entire shop and earn a fortune in SG heh.
mid-terms over, finals coming in dec and jan! it's still sem 1! all the way till jan 15! then i'll be on hol till 28 feb :D

work's fine! getting quite monotonous but i pretty much like the routine.. LOL i'm contradicting myself!
anws now the chinese govt's saying that they didn't seed the clouds! dunno if it's true.. if it is then it's abnormal early snow over there:) haha..
yah with global warming and all, it isn't surprising that the weather is screwing up. early winter and all. it has snowed 3 times so far :)
not flying back straight after exams - probably travel for a week or so b4 coming back...thinking of going to xi'an haha...it'll be super cold everywhere thus limiting my choices :p
have fun at work, and i'll cya when i get back! meanwhile i gotta study. boo ultimate sadness :(
